2

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account, ensuring that only you can access it. Follow these simple steps to enable 2FA in your BeHost.io account.

Step 1: Log in to Your BeHost.io Account #

  1. Visit my.BeHost.io and click on “Client Login.”
  2. Enter your email address and password, then click “Login.”

Step 2: Access the Security Settings #

  1. In your client dashboard, click on your name (top-right corner).
  2. Select “Security Settings” from the dropdown menu.

Step 3: Enable Two-Factor Authentication #

  1. Locate the Two-Factor Authentication section.
  2. Click the “Enable” button.

Step 4: Set Up 2FA with an Authenticator App #

You will need an authenticator app to generate the security codes. Choose one of the following:

  1. Google Authenticator (iOS & Android)
  2. Authy (iOS & Android)
  3. Microsoft Authenticator (iOS & Android)
  4. Apple Passwords App (built into iOS & macOS)

Using the Apple Passwords App #

If you use an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, you can set up 2FA directly in Apple Passwords without downloading a separate app.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Passwords (or use System Settings > Passwords on a Mac).
  2. Select the saved login details for BeHost.io, or add a new login.
  3. Tap Set Up Verification Code > Scan QR Code.
  4. Scan the QR code displayed on your BeHost.io account settings page.
  5. The Apple Passwords app will now generate 2FA codes automatically when you log in.

Using Other Authenticator Apps #

Open your chosen authenticator app and select “Add a new account” or “Scan a QR Code.”
Scan the QR code displayed on the BeHost.io page. If you cannot scan, you can manually enter the code provided.

Step 5: Verify and Activate 2FA #

  1. The authenticator app will generate a six-digit code.
  2. Enter this code into the BeHost.io verification field and click “Submit.”
  3. A confirmation message will appear, confirming that 2FA is now enabled.

Step 6: Save Your Backup Code #

  1. You will be given a backup code. Save this code in a secure place.
  2. If you ever lose access to your authenticator app, you can use this backup code to log in.

Logging In with 2FA Enabled #

  • Each time you log in, enter your email and password as usual.
  • After that, enter the six-digit code from your authenticator app or Apple Passwords.
